Today, I’m barking with Bartek, a Polish pup whose kinky cartoons make me howl with laughter! His sketches offer hilarious, abstract peeks into the fetish world, where latex replaces laundry and ‘hands tied’ takes on a whole new meaning. Get ready for a dose of art and kink!
MasterMarc: Hi Bartek. How is the pup doing? Some months ago, I have seen one of your cartoons for the first time and had really to smile. It made me want to check your profile frequently to keep up to date with your new cartoons. Your sketches are little insights to the life of kinksters which makes one laugh. How did it come that youโre creating these art pieces?
Bartek: Woof. Iโm fine, thank you. Iโm glad that you like my work. As a fan of Monty Python, I really love abstract humor. I like to imagine what everyday affairs would look like in a kinky world, and this is the main subject for most of my drawings. Hereโs an example: Everybody knows that white and colored clothes have to be washed separately, and we all know what will happen if we forget about it. What if such colorful things were replaced with latex clothes? Would the white shirt after such a mixed washing suddenly be made out of latex? In my drawings, it is! Or the popular term that we canโt do something because โwe have our hands tied.โ In the fetish world, that has a funny meaning, too.
MasterMarc: How do you get the ideas and inspiration for your cartoons?
Bartek: I wonโt be too original, saying I get the ideas in life. Sometimes it is ambiguity or similarity in the pronunciation of some words. Other times I get an idea while talking to a friend, because a word or sentence he is saying starts a creative process in my head. And last but not least, it are also friends telling me an idea or a good joke which I convert into a cartoon.
MasterMarc: Itโs great to get ideas and inspiration, not only by yourself. How did you develop your drawing skills? Have you studied them, or is it just a hobby?
Bartek: It is just a hobby. To be honest, I am too lazy and impatient to really practice drawing. Thatโs why I like the comic form, where the drawing does not play the main role. Most important is the joke or idea. But that has also a disadvantage: The joke has to be funny! I always liked to draw. In elementary school, my friends and I set up a newspaper (about 20 copies). If I remember correctly, only two numbers appeared. In high school, I collaborated again with the school newspaper. I drew teacher caricatures and jokes. During my studies I made playful drawings during lectures which made my friends laugh. After graduation, I continued to work in the creative world as a computer graphic designer.
From Gas Masks to Puppy Play: My Kink Journey
MasterMarc: But to make kink cartoons you need to be creative but also a kinkster. What is for you the attraction of the kink world, and when did you start to live it?
Bartek: Itโs difficult to fix a date when it started. Maybe it started in civil protection classes during high school, where I had to wear a gas mask for the first time? I got caught by the visual layer of it. Shiny latex, leather coveralls, down jackets, chemical protection suits, helmets, gas masks… Is it equipment to protect people or to make them horny? But besides the horniness of kinks, Iโm also attracted by the fact that in kink life, no matter how hardcore it looks in movies or photos, it is based on trust and respect for other people.
MasterMarc: Seems youโre a total gear guy, but I know that you have been also exploring the puppy lifestyle. Why do you like to be a pup?
Bartek: It is a very interesting experience that allows you to completely cut off from everyday problems, to recharge your batteries, and to meet interesting people. For me, as an introvert person, it helps me to become more open to other people.
MasterMarc: Can you tell us a little more about your pup experiences? How do you open to other people by being a pup?
Bartek: As a puppy, I am not embarrassed to have to talk to someone. Communication is reduced to barking and possibly gesturing. As a puppy, I have different expectations than as a human being. As you have probably noticed, Iโd be happy to answer every question with one word. In my case, the mask allows me to enter the role and creates a kind of comfort zone.
Undercover Kinkster: Life in Poland
MasterMarc: This transformation is something many people can feel. It is one of the nice sides of fetish. And you have also found another way to communicate: Your cartoons! Btw. youโre from Poland. Even though the ruling party sounds very kinky (PIS Party โ I think there is just missing an โsโ!), your country isnโt really famous for being very gay & fetish friendly. I know several Polish kinksters and they are traveling a lot. How do you live your kinks?
Bartek: Yes, it is true. It is one of the things that I donโt like about my country. As a kinkster, you have to act like Batman, always undercover. During the day, I am a poor version of Bruce Wayne to turn into a Batm… kinkster at night.
Because of my shyness and being an introvert, I played just for myself for a long time. Unfortunately, introversion is not a desirable feature for someone who would like to experience bondage. I tried self-bondage, but due to the necessity of leaving an emergency exit, I was not satisfied. I always woke up free in the morning. Thatโs why I decided to set up fetish accounts on Twitter and Instagram. I started to publish my photos, videos, and drawings. People started talking to me, mostly people from abroad โ Canada, Sweden, Austria, Germany, Great Britain, USA. Fortunately, there were also some people from Poland. Thatโs how I met the Polish Pups group. This way I got introduced to a great couple from Warsaw, great people from Masuria, Silesia, Lower Silesia, and Poznaล. After long online conversations, I was able to meet them personally among others at the U-boot Puppy Edition event in Warsaw.
