Tim’s Origins 7: Happy Birthday

The night before my 15th birthday: homeless, alone, and completely screwed. I thought it was over. But then Tom found me. Instead of trouble, I got a birthday cake, a hug, and the sickest gift ever: my own room and the feeling of finally having found a family. From a frog to a fucking prince in a single day.

Hi Kinksters, MasterMarc here!

Time out. As I promised right at the start, this is one of those moments where I need to step in and speak to you directly. You all know that Tim and I co-wrote his journey into kink after endless, deep conversations. And yeah, Tim really was an early bird. But honestly? When I look at who’s hitting me up in chatrooms these days, the entry age into the kink world has dropped significantly compared to back in our day.

Before this, we were looking at peers sharing these experiences. But introducing Tom into Tim’s story changes everything, and that’s a hard stop for me. It’s flat-out wrong. You know how crucial responsibility is to me as a Master. It really shouldn’t need saying, but I utterly condemn any sexual involvement between adults and minors. It’s a crime, plain and simple.

But these are Tim’s experiences and a part of his reality, so we can’t sweep them under the rug if we want to understand how he became the guy he is today. A likeable, intelligent, and fiercely confident young man, and I couldn’t be prouder of how he turned his troubled past into a success story. At the same time, we want to show you just how fast a person can slide into toxic and dangerous dependencies.

Phew… it’s not easy, getting back to hitting the keys and reliving all those emotions after hitting such a low point in the last chapter. But, as they say, what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger. Or, as my favorite coach today, Tony Robbins, would put it: “Your past does not equal your future.

Of course, I didn’t know Tony Robbins back then. But Sean Covey’s book, the one Jasmin recommended, slowly started to blossom in my mind.

I guess it’s clear to you that the night by the river wasn’t the best of my life. And even though it was summer, I was freezing my ass off. Of course, I felt like crap, I missed Kev, and getting kicked out stung like an open wound. But I had hope. A quiet, but firm hope that the situation would be completely different by the next evening, and I’d be back in Kev’s arms.

That hope came because I had a plan. I knew where I could go in the morning. I’d promised Tom I’d help him again today. And I fully expected Kev to come back too. That would be my chance: talk to him, alone, without Alex around.

So, I somehow made it through the night. As soon as it was light, I was on my feet. A short walk to the bus stop, a quick ride, and I got off near the farm.

I checked the time on an old church. 7 AM. Shit, I was way too early. Tom would definitely still be sleeping at that hour.

So, I walked the last bit along the country road when suddenly a car slowed down behind me and pulled up alongside. The window rolled down, and Tom looked at me with a totally worried expression.

“There you are,” he said, his voice sounding relieved. “I was looking for you.”

BAM. In that second, my whole plan shattered. My plan to just show up and pretend everything was normal. Like I’d just casually come from “home.” That whole facade was already ruined.

I didn’t hesitate, got in, and we drove the last 200 meters to the farm without either of us saying a word. The silence was heavy.

When he turned off the engine, he turned to me. “So,” he said, “where did you crash? I was out all night and couldn’t find you anywhere.”

The question caught me off guard. How the hell did he know I wasn’t with Alex and Kev? I knew lying wouldn’t do any good now. Still, I tried to play it cool. “By the river,” I said, trying to sound nonchalant. “The weather was totally fine, it was a chill night.”

Tom just sighed. “Come on, stop bullshitting, TimT. You look like a cow chewed you up and spit you out. Come on, let’s go inside.”

From the Cold to the Warmth

Inside the house, he immediately handed me a fresh towel and showed me the bathroom. “Go shower. Just throw your clothes outside the door, I’ll wash them quickly. And then come to the kitchen.”

The warm shower was divine. I think I stood there for at least 20 minutes, just under that hot stream, slowly warming up my frozen body. The water softly enveloped me, giving me a sense of security I hadn’t felt in so long.

And as the dirt from the riverbank washed off my skin, the warm water also washed away some of my worries. I realized maybe I wasn’t as alone as I’d felt last night. Tom was there. He’d been worried. He’d looked for me.

That realization, along with the warmth, instantly brightened my mood. It felt like, with all the dirt from the riverbank, some of my darkest thoughts had also gone down the drain.

When I came out, I roughly dried myself off. My clothes were gone, so I just wrapped the towel around my waist and went looking for the kitchen. It wasn’t hard to find, and when I stumbled in, there were Tom… and Dave. Both were grinning, and on the table was a small cake with a candle. And then they just started singing “Happy Birthday.”

I honestly couldn’t believe it, and I just smiled a little awkwardly. “Hey, thanks, that’s super cool,” I stammered. Both of them stood up. First, Tom came over to me and gave me a tight hug. And barely had he let go when David was there, too, giving me a cool pat on the shoulder and ruffling my hair. “Happy Birthday, Tim,” he then whispered softly in my ear.

So, we sat at the kitchen table, totally chill. Tom had put a hot coffee in front of me, and there was a piece of the birthday cake. I still felt a bit out of it, but the warmth radiating from both of them was pretty intense. It was one of those moments where you realize: Okay, there are people who actually give a damn about you.

I took a sip of coffee to collect myself. The stuff was really good and slowly got me going again. I looked at both guys and just had to ask, because my head was rattling like crazy.

“Hey, tell me,” I started, “I’m totally lost here. How come? Why were you looking for me, and how do you know it’s my birthday?”

Dave suddenly stood up. “I’ll leave you two alone,” he said. “Got an appointment and need to get ready.” With a small tap on the back of my head, he was gone, and I sat there, alone with Tom in the kitchen. Okay, this was my chance.

Tom took a sip of coffee and looked at me. “Yeah, I was looking for you,” he began, his voice calm. “Alex was here yesterday afternoon, and we talked about his problems with his apprenticeship. Last night, I wanted to continue the conversation, so I drove over to his place. When you weren’t there, I asked what was going on. And Kev told me you’d run off – and that so close to your birthday. That’s why I looked for you.”

Damn. So Kev knew it was my birthday, and he still told Tom I’d just run off? That stung. But it explained Tom’s concern. He had been really worried, and that felt damn good after the shit I’d been through.

I felt it, there were still so many questions hanging in the air, especially about Kev. But in that moment, I just thought: Not now. My head was still too messed up to process all of it.

“Hey Tom, thanks,” I said, a bit awkwardly, and the leftover cake on my plate suddenly looked super inviting. “That was super sweet of you … Should we continue working in the yard then?”

Tom just grinned and shook his head. “Cool idea, Tim, but let’s start in the afternoon. I think a couple more hours of chilling would do you good. Go to Dave’s room, he’ll be leaving soon, and lie down there. I’ll wake you up at noon.”

That sounded like music to my ears. A warm shower, a piece of cake, and now even sleep? That was pure luxury after last night. I scraped the last bit of cake onto my plate, quickly stuffed it in my mouth, washed it down with a gulp of coffee, and then left. “One floor up, left room,” I heard Tom call after me.

I knocked on Dave’s door and waved in, just like Tom said. “Hey David,” I called, “Tom said I could lie on your bed until noon.”

“Come in,” he called back.

I opened the door and walked in. And there he was. His back to me, completely naked. He was just bending over to pull on a fresh pair of underwear. And dude, that was a killer ass! I already knew his great body, but that was a whole different perspective. I must have turned totally red, because he turned around and smiled.

“Make yourself comfortable, it’ll do you good,” he said. “Give me the bath towel, I’ll take it back to the bathroom, and then I’m off.”

Stealthily, I pulled off the bath towel, threw it on the bed, burrowed into it, and covered myself as fast as I could. He should definitely not see my boner. With a smile, he put on a cool Nike T-shirt, cool shorts, white socks, and awesome Nike sneakers. “Bye, see you in the afternoon,” he said, and then he added, smiling, “Have fun, you probably still have some pressure to release, tissues are in the nightstand.

And just like that, he was gone.

I woke up because someone knocked and then came into the room. I opened my eyes and saw Tom, standing there, grinning. “Get up, sleepyhead,” he said. “How’s the birthday boy doing?”

I stretched and realized that sleep had truly been golden. “Hey Tom,” I mumbled, “I really needed that. Thanks.”

“Come downstairs, fancy some pizza?” he asked.

“No thanks,” I replied, patting my stomach. “The cake’s still weighing me down.”

“Okay,” he said, “then let’s continue in the yard.”

And that’s exactly what we did. Even though I had secretly hoped Kev would show up this morning, I was now damn glad he wasn’t there. It was just Tom and me, and the two of us were almost as productive as the four of us yesterday. I was so stoked to help out, to show my gratitude, that I probably did at least as much work as Kev and I did together yesterday. I really put my back into it, sweating and realizing how good it felt to just do something productive, without all that emotional crap in my head.

Eventually, Tom came out of the house with a cool Cola and called me over. We sat down on a bench in a shady corner and just actively didn’t talk for a moment. Sometimes you don’t need to talk to understand each other.

After a liberating, but what felt like an eternity, Tom suddenly said: “Hey, I can imagine how you’re feeling. Shitty, I guess. Just forget about it for now. Maybe I can explain what happened later, but I don’t think we should talk about it now. What do you think about staying here for a few days and helping me out? I have another room; you can have it.”

I couldn’t believe my own ears. My own room? I hadn’t had that in ages. Since I ran away from home, that had been an absolute dream. And Tom really seemed totally cool and easygoing. There was little against it. Plus, I had something meaningful to do here, and that was really important to me, not just hanging around. I didn’t have to think long. Still, I spoke up again because I didn’t want to be a burden. “Hey, I don’t want to be a bother,” I said.

Tom just laughed. “You’re not, you’re helping me.”

“Then, really, thank you, Tom.” In that moment, I was the one who hugged him. I felt him press a protective kiss on my forehead, whereupon I spontaneously gave him a super quick, short peck on the mouth. “Thanks,” I whispered.

That was a moment that felt… right. Like a new door opening.

“Come, I’ll show you your room. You can help me make your bed,” he added. Sure, no problem!

So, I trotted after him, up one floor, to the same floor where Dave’s room was. And yeah, I got my own space, right next to Dave’s room, with a huge double bed. I tell you, that was the very first time I had an “adult-sized” bed all to myself. It felt… gigantic. That was just pure luxury, the best birthday present ever, no question.

After we’d made the bed together, Tom added: “Get your stuff. I have to leave soon for a delivery, but I think a little chill time would do you good.”

And that’s exactly what I did. A little later, I was sitting on my own bed, Browse through my books, and feeling like a king. Somehow, I must have just drifted off to sleep while reading.

So, guys, that was “Happy Birthday”. A chapter that shows that even after the shittiest moments, there can be a light at the end of the tunnel. I went from a lonely “frog” by the river to a “prince” in my own room.

What do you think? Have you ever experienced such a crazy turn in your life? Or a moment where everything suddenly turned for the better? Let me know in the comments! I’d love to hear from you.
