I’ve mentioned before that I love to paint and draw. I’m generally obsessed with Art, so last week I had some time to look at images online. It’s not the same as being in a museum, but what else are you supposed to do when you’re sick? You’d die of boredom otherwise.
Normally, I’m primarily into Contemporary Art, even if my travels often land me in museums where I see the classics too. But while I was sick, I surfed more on Kink Art Pages—primarily, of course, Spanking Art. I have to admit, I admire the skills of some artists. I’m almost jealous of them! (Oh, by the way, did you know that KINKFINITY.com also has an extra Kink Art Section?)
Obviously, you can’t talk about Gay Kink Art without mentioning Tom of Finland—THE icon of Gay Kink Art. The iconic line drawings of those leather porn hunks from the ’70s are always hot. Or wouldn’t you love to be taken over his knee by one of those guys?
When I look at M/M Spanking Art (meaning illustrations in a gay context), I like that it’s mostly about discipline, rarely about abuse—because that shouldn’t happen.
I see two clear subgroups here:
- M/M Spanking: The depiction of spanking between two adults.
- M/m Spanking: The classic disciplinary depictions, meaning the education of a “Boy” by an authoritative figure.
Even though that M/m instantly brings back memories of my boarding school, and even though I’m into Daddies myself, I always feel a little weird looking at M/m illustrations. I wonder if that’s almost paedophilic, which I definitely do not endorse. That’s a mental boundary for me.
💖 My Favorite: Jonathan and the Power of Humiliation
One of my favorite illustrators is Jonathan. He certainly takes some inspiration from the Super Spanker depictions by Tom of Finland, but I love that he is so versatile. Meaning, it’s not always the stereotypical leather man spanking another guy.
This image is one of my favorites from him. I love that, unlike most spanking pictures, this one shows a group who, judging by their butts, are getting seriously pounded.
It clearly combines the pain of spanking and the “connection” (the guys could totally run away, they aren’t tied up) with the humiliation.
First, the Clothed Men – Naked Men (CMNM) element is strongly featured. Even more so with the hint of the spankees’ clothes just lying on the floor.
The group is both a supportive element for the spankee (“I’m not the only victim here!”—shared misery is half the misery!) but also a humiliating one, because he knows others are seeing his suffering. And that humiliation is cranked up even more by the amused group of guys behind the windows.
I find this combination so hot that I’m getting a massive boner just writing about it! What do you guys think of this picture?
I already mentioned my boarding school days, where we were also disciplined. I hated it back then, but at the same time, it probably intensified my love for spanking, which I developed early on. That’s why I also find the following image by Jonathan hot. This public discipline in the school assembly hall—the associated humiliation alongside the pain has something very, very alluring about it.
At the same time, I’m glad I didn’t have to experience it in that style. Feeling the cane right in the classroom was already tough. Tough… but HOT, in retrospect. Although, today, Mark would probably enjoy being worked over like that. You guys know my exhibitionist streak. But little Mark probably would have had his enjoyment of spanking ruined by that.
I could show you plenty more pictures that I like, and I think I’ll do that in the future, because these images inspire and motivate me to new mischief! Maybe even recreating one of these pictures sometime. But as you can tell, I’m a total spanking fan.
Lastly, another picture I really like because, for once, it only focuses on the Spankee. And even though I love more and more to take others and enjoy their suffering, right now I’m still primarily a Spankee—and I love it!
