Hermes Solenzol is a neuroscientist and former university professor whose research focused on pain – the science behind many of our favorite games. Today Hermes writes about BDSM where science and desire meet: pain and pleasure, sub space, consent and the line to abuse.

Born in Italy, raised in Spain and living in the US for many years, Hermes began a second career as a writer after retiring from research. Besides the guides, Hermes writes erotic novels – the Liberation of Cecilia series – and is working on The Kinky Brain: The Neuroscience of BDSM.
